What does 5x gather rate mean in Rust?

It means each resource node yields five times the usual amount. One tree gives five times the wood, one ore node five times the stone, metal or sulfur. The rate applies to gathering only, not crafting speed or loot drops. It is a modded setting.

How often do 5x Rust servers wipe?

Wipe cycles vary by server. The table shows the next scheduled wipe where the server has published one. Common cycles are weekly, biweekly and monthly. Some servers only wipe at Facepunch's forced wipe, which happens on the first Thursday of each month. Check the next wipe column for each server's estimate.

Can I play solo on a 5x Rust server?

Yes, but check the group limit column. Many 5x servers allow groups up to eight, Rust's default. Some set limits of two, three or four, which can be more balanced for solo players. Use the filters to show only servers with your preferred group size.

Are all 5x Rust servers modded?

Almost all are listed in the Modded tab, because Facepunch requires any server with altered gather rates to be modded. A server with 5x rates in the vanilla tab would be breaking that rule. The vanilla tag on a server refers to difficulty settings, not gather rates.
