Official Rust servers

Most are. Almost all official servers carry Rust's vanilla tag and leave gather rates at the default 1x, which the site records. A small number list themselves as modded, and that shows in the tags column. Official means run by Facepunch or an approved partner; it does not always mean untouched settings.

Official servers are run by Facepunch or a partner network such as Rustoria, Rustafied or Rusty Moose. Community servers are run by anyone else and carry neither tag. In practice the differences are admin presence, wipe rhythm and queue size: official servers tend to fill and wipe on a more regular schedule, while community servers vary more.

Facepunch's force wipe resets every map at 19:00 UK time on the first Thursday of each month. Individual official servers also choose their own schedules outside that. Most wipe on the same weekday every one or two weeks, with Thursday, Monday and Friday the common days. The next wipe estimate in the table follows what each server has actually been doing.

They occupy Rust's own Official tab, where most players look first, and regulars know the wipe times. The busiest servers run several hundred slots and still queue on wipe day. Connect as soon as the server returns after the wipe, or choose a partner server with the same wipe day but a shorter queue.
