What does a gather rate above 10x change?

You get more resources per hit. A tree that gives 100 wood at 1x gives over 1000 at 10x. This speeds up base building and reduces farming time. Most servers at this rate also add kits and teleports, so fights start sooner and bases fall faster.

Are all 10x+ servers modded?

Yes, any server with a gather rate above 1x is modded by definition. Facepunch requires these servers to be in the Modded tab. Some may still show a vanilla tag, but that refers to other settings like loot tables or decay, not the gather rate.

How do I find a 10x+ server with a group size that suits me?

Use the max group size filter. Most servers allow up to 8 players, but some set lower limits like 2 or 5 for solo and duo play, and others allow clans up to 10 or more. The filter shows only servers that match your chosen size.
